  • Protected Areas Management, Integrated Biodiversity Conservation
  • Bufferzone Development, Socio-economic development, Participatory Planning
  • Sustainable management of natural resources, notably sustainable forest management and rangeland management
  • Financial Management, Sustainable financing of PAs
  • Financial Cooperation Programme Planning and Design
  • Institutional and legal framework analysis, capacity needs assessment
  • Cost- and Financial planning, economic analysis of project activities
  • Problem, institutional and risk analysis

Project Description

The Feasibility Study (FS) aims at supporting the Project Executing Agency (Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism of Mongolia) in designing a Biodiversity Conservation Programme which shall aim at improved conservation of ecologically important areas of Mongolia (protected areas, buffer zones, ecological corridors) in close cooperation with local communities (participatory planning and management).

Qualification

All key experts should have at least the following qualifications:

  • Proven extensive work experience related the specific field of expertise required for the study;
  • International work experience and preferably in countries in transition; country experience would be an advantage;
  • English language proficiency (work language); knowledge of Mongolian language would be an advantage.
