Project Description The main objective of the consultancy is to provide project implementation and management support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Wildlife and Nature Conservation Circle of Forest Department for implementation of following major components of the project:
Component 1: Capacity building for wildlife conservation and cooperation for addressing the trans boundary illegal wildlife trade in Bangladesh. Sub-component 1.1: Institutional Strengthening in Wildlife Conservation and Illegal Wildlife Trade Control in the Wildlife Circle
Component 2: Promoting Wildlife Conservation in South Asia. Sub-component 2.1: Virtual Regional Centre of Excellence(VRCE) for wildlife conservation; Sub component 2.2: Competitive Funding to support Protected Area Management with Regional Conservation Benefits.
Component 3: Project coordination and communication.
